To ensure that customer specifications are met and exceeded, Hanna Steel Corporation maintains a quality laboratory at each of its manufacturing locations. Each of the metallurgical labs is staffed with highly trained professionals and is under the oversight of a Professional Engineer licensed in the field of Metallurgy in Alabama and Illinois.

Hanna Steel Corporation’s in house testing capabilities include Tensile Testing, Charpy Impact Testing, Metallography, Rockwell Hardness Testing, and Salt Fog Corrosion Testing. All tests are performed according to ASTM standards using state of the art lab equipment. Hanna Steel Corporation also works closely with senior design students from the University of Alabama and the University of Alabama at Birmingham to continuously improve the quality and manufacturing efficiency.
